Return, Cancellation & Refund Policy

Made-to-Order Policy

All Rare Breed Maui items are made to order. Each item is created specifically for you after your purchase.  

  • Cancellations, refunds, or exchanges are not available once an order is placed and production has begun.
  • In rare situations, an exception may be made at our discretion. A production and processing fee may apply, as well as forfeiture of your shipping costs.  This fee helps cover the materials, labor, and handling costs already incurred to create your item, as well as the costs of rerouting or returning it, since we do not have a physical store to resell the items. 
  • Production timelines vary by product.  Once completed, youʻll receive tracking information.

Refunds (if there is an exception)

  • As stated above, on rare occasions, exceptions may be made for an order. Refunds are issued only after items are returned or rerouted successfully in exceptional cases. We DO NOT do refunds otherwise.
  • Processing time to receive your refund: 7-14 business days, but in some cases, up to 23 days depending on your bank or payment provider.
  • Production and processing fees, as well as the shipping costs you paid, will be deducted from your refund. 

Shipping

  • Standard shipping times:  7-15 business days after fulfillment is complete (shipped via USPS - United States Postal Service)
  • Express Shipping: 3-5 business days after fulfillment is complete (shipped via DHL or UPS Express, depending on the manufacturer)

Sustainability & ʻĀina

Our policies are designed to support sustainability and protect our ʻāina (land). By creating items intentionally and made-to-order, we reduce waste and limit excess inventory. This approach ensures that each item is made with care and purpose, honoring the environment and our Hawaiian heritage.

  • Pre-order or limited edition items follow the same policies
  • Customer service is always available for questions, guidance, or assistance. Please note that we observe normal business hours and holidays off, so your email/contact may not be responded to immediately after it is sent.
