The Pikake is the Hawaiian name for Jasminum sambac, one of the Jasminum species that is grown and found throughout Hawai'i. The name for this flower was adapted from the word "peacock" because our beautiful Princess Ka'iulani was fond of the flower as well as the bird.

The gorgeous yet simple pikake flower symbolizes love, honor, and friendship. Like many lei made of beautiful tropical and Hawaiian florals - the pikake is often used and given as gifts, greetings and on special occasions. My favorite way to wear pikake leis is either on its own or entwined with maile or ti-leaf.

You will receive (1) ONE roll of washi tape that measures 15mm x 10m long. Each design on the washi tape is illustrated by Honey Kaho'ohanohano.

Like traditional paper tape, the washi tape is semi-transparent (but more opaque) and can/may look different on the roll vs off of the roll. Please note that colors may vary based on the screen and monitor.

Please be sure to have a look around our shop for other Pikake items.
