Collection: Kalo Taro Hawaiian Print Collection

The Kalo (taro) leaf is one of Honey's favorite things to illustrate.  As simple as it is - its clean lines and soft hues make it a unique type of item.  At its simplicity in nature, no two leaves are the same and no lines in those leaves match one another.  The Kalo plant is of big importance to Native Hawaiians and indisputably the most important plant in Hawaiian culture.  A main source and staple of food, Kalo is so much more than a delicious leaf, it's also the center of spiritualism, mythology, and social culture.  In Hawaiian culture, the kalo plant is known to be the elder brother of mankind.
